A challenging away game for UD Almeria

The Rojiblancos took part in a final training session before flying charter to Ponferrada

UD Almería are now ready to take on a difficult challenge this Sunday (kick-off 6:15 Spain Time/ Matchday 5) as the squad will be playing SD Ponferradina at the El Toralín Stadium in Ponferrada city. It will be a challenging, hard game for the Rojiblancos.

Rubi has already warned in the press-Ponferradina press conference that the next game will be a ‘litmus test’ to be played in one of the most difficult places to win in the competition and against rivals who have started the season on the right foot thanks to their style of play and effective tactics.

Despite the difficulty of the game, the Rojiblancos trust in their possibilities. They have prepared themselves well for the match and they are travelling with their minds set on defeating adversaries who they could not beat in the last two fixtures at El Toralín.

Carriço has all his paperwork issues sorted. Nieto is back after overcoming his muscle soreness as well as Robertone, who has already served a one-game suspension. Iván Martos will sit out the next game following his dismissal from the last game.

The Rojiblancos attended a final training session held behind closed doors at Juegos Mediterráneos. The players are flying charter to León city at 5pm (Spain Time). After touching down, they will continue their journey by road to Ponferrada city.
