2-0: UD Almería 'B' head back home empty handed from Marbella

The UDA youth team were putting in a brave fight when Hugo Neves' first-half own goal spoilt their game.

UD Almería 'B' players Gilbert and David Cuenca return to the starting XI, but their presence was not enough to bring home a positive result from Marbella. The youthful Rojiblancos started the game very well organised and without giving the opponents any options to find the back of the net.

Marbella FC played a very tough game in the early stages of the game to block the visitors' attacking plays. Until minute 15, the hosts took the lead due to an own goal by Hugo Neves. The UDA Academy player tried to get in the way of a cross from the right flank with such bad luck that the clearance went towards the goal of his team-mate Obón. From here on, the UD Almería prospects took possession of the ball but did not create big chances, although minutes later, Neves would be in charge of netting the equaliser, but the goal was not recorded on the scoreboard for offside.

The second half began with trouble for the Almerienses, since Andrei had the leveller in his boots, but the midfielder's low shot was taken out under the sticks by the Marbella defence. The second goal for the hosts came in the 73rd minute, when Dago finished off a ball inside the area after a great play by his peer Iker Muñoz. The Marbelli striker's shot ended up hitting a Rojiblanco defender before crossing the goal line. Despite this second goal, Óscar Fernández's boys did not give up and kept trying with all their energy generating some dangerous threatening situations within the Marbella area.

Long story short, UD Almería 'B' suffered their third consecutive defeat to be placed fifth in the Group IX table of the Tercera División RFEF with 18 points.
