1-1: One more point that means a lot to UD Almería

The Rojiblancos run into fierce rivals who made things difficult for them in their unbeaten run

UD Almería bagged a new point within LaLiga SmartBank after facing Madrid-based fierce rivals. The Rojiblancos created big chances within a first half that was not that brilliant, but they would see themselves behind at the beginning of the second half. It was then when the Indalicos bossed things and equalised through Juan Villar in a bid to attack and find the back of the net.
As a result a well-deserved 1-1 draw was achieved. In the opening 45 minutes, UD Almeria were seen somewhat more tactically savvy than usual, especially in the opening minutes. In general, Rubi’s side created more chances than their resilient rivals. Sadiq participated in a couple of actions in which Altube, first, and a centre-back avoided the goal. In addition, Sadiq’s goal was disallowed for offside just before the break.
The only moments in which CF Fuenlabrada created danger would be witnessed when the encounter resumed. The hosts went ahead with a goal from Zozulia in the 52nd minute. From that moment until the end, UD Almería gained momentum. Rubi’s men reacted to the 1-0 with the additions of Juan Villar and Arnau, who were key in the tie, since in the 61st minute, the midfielder sent a cross from a wide position that grazed the post 10 minutes later to assist the Huelva-born forward who levelled things up in some style (1-1).
The UD Almeria contenders wanted some more and completed the away clash with non-stop attacks. However, the draw result did not change offering a very hard-fought point for the visitors against some fierce opponents.
