With the summer transfer window now closed, UD Almería’s squad for the 2026/27 season is complete. Head coach Xavier García Pimienta now has a group of 25 first-team players at his disposal, in addition to potential reinforcements from the 'B' team. 8 new faces have joined the Club
While 22 players have squad numbers up to number 25, 3 more members of the first-team set-up wear higher numbers: Yaakobishvilis (31), Dzôdić (29) and Quim Junyent (33). Depending on the team’s needs, players from UD Almería 'B' may also join first-team training sessions or be included in Matchday squads when required.
17 players remain from last season: Andrés Fernández, Fernando Martínez, Marcos Luna, Chirino, Rodrigo Ely, Bonini, Chumi, Álex Muñoz, Dzôdić, Gui Guedes, Embarba, Sergio Arribas, Nico Melamed, Jon Morcillo, Léo Baptistão, Thalys and Miguel de la Fuente.
Meanwhile, 8 new signings have arrived: Áron Yaakobishvilis, Jorge Pulido, Leonardo Lelo, Mikel Vesga, Javi Muñoz, Brian Cipenga, Álex Sola and Quim Junyent.
This is the squad currently working under Xavier García Pimienta as the team turns its full attention to Sunday’s match against Cádiz CF at the UD Almería Stadium. The Rojiblancos will be looking to bounce back after suffering defeats in their 2 consecutive away fixtures.
As already confirmed, Gui Guedes, who recently underwent knee surgery and the suspended Thalys will both miss the upcoming match. Meanwhile, Tomasevic, the Croatian midfielder from the 'B' team, continues to train with the first team.
UD Almería have 2 more training sessions ahead of them as they continue their preparations for Sunday’s fixture against Cádiz CF, who have undergone significant changes this summer, bringing in as many as 17 new players.
So far this season, the Cadistas have drawn all 3 of their league matches: 0-0 against RC Celta Fortuna, 2-2 against CD Eldense and 1-1 against Real Valladolid.
