Tough road ahead for UD Almería: another trip to La Coruña

The Rojiblancos face challenging run with back-to-back away matches

UD Almería are entering a difficult stretch of the season with a demanding series of away fixtures. After playing UD Las Palmas on the island this weekend, the team will head straight to La Coruña for a Saturday clash with Deportivo at the Abanca-Riazor Stadium.

The squad returns from Gran Canaria this Sunday on an early morning charter flight. Once back, recovery will be the focus of training, with a more intense session planned for players who had less involvement in the UD Las Palmas game.

Monday will serve as a rest day for the team before preparations for the La Coruña encounter begin on Tuesday at the Anexo training ground. The session will be held there as the main stadium’s pitch undergoes a winter grass replacement.

Head coach Rubi will have nearly the entire squad available for the trip, though midfielder Lopy remains a doubt following an injury sustained in the previous match against Sporting Gijón. Rubi is hopeful that Lopy will be fit for the following home game against Real Zaragoza on 11 October if he misses out in La Coruña.
