UD Almería switch attention to Spanish Cup before facing Atlético de Madrid

The Rojiblancos have a busy week ahead with two trips since they play the Spanish Cup second-round tie in Huesca against UD Barbastro on Wednesday and a league fixture against Atlético Madrid at the Cívitas Metropolitano on Sunday

UD Almería are going to take a break in the LaLiga EA Sports to face the Spanish Cup second-round tie against UD Barbastro at 12 noon this Wednesday in the Huesca-based town. It is going to be a busy week for the Rojiblancos since at 2pm on Sunday, they will be hosted by Atlético de Madrid at the Cívitas Metropolitano (Matchday 16). 

With this tight calendar and taking into account that on 17th December, UD Almería will host RCD Mallorca in the Power Horse Stadium, Gaizka Garitano will dose his efforts on the one hand remain in contention in the Spanish tournament, and on the other hand, try to spring the big surprise in the Madrid fort since the Colchoneros have won all their home games so far. 

UD Almería will have two sessions to prepare for the Cup tie against UD Barbastro, a mid-table team that play in Group II of the Segunda RFEF. The Cup opponents have just shared the spoils with CD Tudelano, who are in the privileged zone of their league table. The players from Huesca have improved and reacted after the change of head coach. 

The UD Almeria travelling squad will travel on Tuesday afternoon to Huesca, where they will spend the night before heading to Barbastro by road on Wednesday. After the Copa del Rey tie, the Indálicos will return to Almería city and as soon as they land, they will go to the Power Horse Stadium to train and switch their attention to in-form Atlético de Madrid.
