Weekend off for UD Almería Women

The Segunda Division RFEF pauses for the international break with many young Rojiblancas joining up with lower-tier squads

UD Almería Women will have a break this weekend as there is a blank Matchweek included in the Segunda Division RFEF fixture list as a result of the international meetings of the national teams, especially from the lower tiers, where numerous UD Almería Women young players belong.

Given this, the Rojiblancas, who won their last match against Valencia Women CF 'B' (1-2) will have free both Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, the girls will begin to prepare the visit of Cáceres Atlético to the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium in Almeria. Despite the fact that the brief hiatus was going to take place, head coach Álvaro García Búrdalo planned the sessions as per usual and with the same intensity as if there was competition this Sunday.

The players have now some extra time to grasp concepts of the game in order to adapt quickly to the new division. As it has been mentioned, the squad clinched their first victory on Matchday 2 at the Valencian Paterna Sports Complex.

After a great job in training, the UD Almería Women coaching staff has decided to grant free time to the members of the dressing room this Friday, Saturday and Sunday so that they can recharge their batteries and prepare for their return to routine, which will bring with it the clash against visitors Cáceres Atlético at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium on 2 October (KO 12 noon Spain Time)
