UD Almería return home for Easter double-header
The Rojiblancos play hosts to Real Sociedad 'B' on Palm Sunday and CD Leganés on Easter Sunday with a Holy Thursday trip to Castellón.
After back-to-back away fixtures in Zaragoza and Huesca, UD Almería return to home soil and they do so in style over the Easter period. The Andalusians will play twice at the UD Almería Stadium, hosting Real Sociedad 'B' on Palm Sunday (KO 9pm CET) and CD Leganés on Easter Sunday (KO 6:30pm CET). Sandwiched in between is a demanding Holy Thursday away trip to CD Castellón (KO 8pm CET).
With the race for automatic promotion finely balanced, UD Almería will look to make the most of their strong home form. The side coached by Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' have been among the standout performers on their own turf in LaLiga Hypermotion this season. Their record at home currently stands at 10 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats, with their last 4 matches at the UD Almería Stadium all ending in victory, scoring 12 goals and conceding 5.
The league campaign is now entering its decisive phase, with 11 matches remaining. Of those, 6 will be played at home and 5 away. While unpredictability remains a hallmark of the competition, UD Almería still have several direct clashes against promotion rivals on the horizon. Immediate away challenges include trips to Castellón and Santander, while at home they will welcome Málaga CF and UD Las Palmas.
Rubi has already stressed the importance of taking things one game at a time, despite his side currently posting promotion-worthy numbers. Next up is the visit of Real Sociedad 'B', with UD Almería set to kick off already aware of other key results on the Matchday. Among them, Deportivo de La Coruña travel to Gijón, CD Castellón face Albacete BP, Racing de Santander visit Real Zaragoza and UD Las Palmas head to Eibar. Meanwhile, Málaga CF, currently the strongest home side, host CD Leganés.
A fascinating round of fixtures awaits, setting the stage perfectly before the Indálicos take to the pitch.
