UD Almería step up preparations for Real Zaragoza test
The Rojiblancos fine-tune tactics with key players unavailable due to international duties
UD Almería have resumed their training sessions in preparation for Wednesday's match against Real Zaragoza at the UD Almería Stadium (KO 6:30pm CEST). The team returned to action following a short break, although head coach Rubi faces some challenges with several players unavailable due to international duties.
Senegalese midfielder Lopy was back on the pitch but was unable to complete the full session, leaving his availability for the match against Real Zaragoza in doubt. On a positive note, Adrián Embarba rejoined the squad after serving a one-match suspension.
UD Almería will be without key players, with Bruno Iribarne (Spain U21), Dzodic (Serbia U21), Perović (Montenegro) and Soko (Cameroon) all on international duty. This leaves the gaffer with fewer options ahead of the next fixture.
As is customary at the start of the week, some players, including Bonini and Nelson Monte, underwent tailored training in the gym.
The Rojiblancos will continue preparations on Wednesday behind closed doors, concentrating on tactical work as they know the Maños will be looking to bounce back following their loss to Córdoba CF last Sunday. Real Zaragoza's recent defeat makes them a potentially dangerous rivals, adding extra intensity to the upcoming encounter.
