Chumi and Alex Muñoz return to training; Lopy left out due to injury

The UD Almería Senegalese midfielder Lopy sidelined with grade 1 adductor injury after early exit against Sporting Gijón last Saturday

UD Almería resumed training on Tuesday after their day off on Monday, with Chumi and Álex Muñoz joining the session at the Anexo training ground. However, Senegalese midfielder Lopy was absent due to injury. Lopy, who was subbed in the 24th minute of last Saturday's match against Real Sporting de Gijón, is currently dealing with a grade 1 adductor strain and will be monitored for further development.

Álex Muñoz, who also faced injury concerns after experiencing ankle discomfort towards the end of the match, was included in training and appears to have recovered. Similarly, Chumi, who missed the Sporting match due to an injury sustained against Real Sociedad 'B' on Matchday 3, has also returned to full training.

The Rojiblancos are now turning their attention to Matchday 7, where they will face UD Las Palmas on Saturday at 9pm at the Gran Canaria Stadium. Both outfits come into the match fresh off victories, with UD Las Palmas winning away at CD Leganés, while UD Almería secured their first home W of the season. The clash will see two promotion-chasing teams battle it out, with UD Las Palmas looking to make an immediate return to the top flight after relegation last season.

The match will hold special significance for Aridane, who hails from Fuerteventura and for Alex Muñoz, who played for UD Las Palmas last season.
