All the summer signings that have been made so far, despite the fact that most of them took part in very few training sessions, made their UD Almería debut. Head coach Vicente Moreno did not have many other options on the bench and he made them debut in front of the excited fans on Matchday 1.

 

Édgar González, who played as a central defender and Baba, who has recently arrived from Mallorca and operated as a defensive midfielder, were starters as well as striker Luis Suárez, who joined UD Almería last season on loan and has just signed a long-term deal with the Club. 

 

The Colombian gave it his all as per usual and created clear-cut chances. Édgar played a decisive role despite the penalty and Baba surprised by his positive attitude after only one training session as he is solid in the midfield and covers a lot of the pitch. 

 

At the start of the second half, to the delight of the fans, Arribas came on, trying his very best, showing quality, game awareness and that he does not think twice when shooting on goal. 

 

In the 66th minute, Marc Pubill replaced Pozo to strengthen the right wing, while inside 77 minutes, Dion Lopy, who is a defensive midfielder with great physical power, was brought in. All of them are really promising signings.
