Vicente del Bosque surprises UD Almería Foundation Genuine players

The former national coach visits the ‘Mediterraneo’ along with the Mayor of Almeria and the Sports Councillor

Former national coach Vicente del Bosque, who inspired the Spain squad to lift the 2010 World Cup title and the second UEFA European Championship back in 2012, surprised the members of the UD Almería Foundation Genuine team with his visit to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium while they were carrying out an activity on the pitch. The former national coach went to the Rojiblancos’ sporting venue in the company of the Mayor of Almeria Ramón Fernández-Pacheco and the Sports Councillor of the Almería City Council, Juan José Segura.

The UD Almería Genuine players had the wonderful opportunity to talk with Vicente del Bosque, expressing their burning desire to get back into playing football. Likewise, he shared with them his professional, wide experience as a national coach when La Roja achieved the best sporting successes and also invited them to keep their ‘dreams’ alive by soon returning to defend the Indálicos’ colours in LaLiga Genuine.

Vicente del Bosque, who has travelled to Almeria for a series of promotional events with businessmen, expressed his feelings after getting to know the members of the UDA Foundation and stressed: ‘We’re fighting against this virus and fortunately, they can now play…It was about time.’ In the same way, Del Bosque referred to LaLiga Genuine: ‘We have the president of LaLiga in Spain, who believes in this initiative which is good for all clubs to become aware that they can also play because it’s really important for society.’

Meanwhile, Mayor of Almeria Ramón Fernández-Pacheco pointed out ‘sports can never be exclusive’, thanking UD Almería for its abdolute commitment to creating the Genuine squad.

UD Almeria Foundation President Lorena García, welcomed Vicente del Bosque, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco Monterreal and Juan José Segura, while detailing the activities that UD Almería Genuine are to undertake in the next dates.
