UD Almería have an action-packed month of October coming up as they have to face a busy calendar with two consecutive away games, a midweek Matchday and even the Spanish Cup first round. In total six games.
 
The Rojiblancos host Burgos CF next Saturday. The Castilla y León team are in the LaLiga Hypermotion VIP zone at the moment and then, UD Almería have to go on two consecutive trips to Oviedo (13 October) and Zaragoza (20 October), rivals who fight for promotion to the top flight. 
 
Without a break, there will be a midweek Matchday on Thursday, 24th October when the Indálicos host Albacete Balompié at the UD Almería Stadium. On 27th October, there will be a match in Huesca and the Spanish Cup first round on 29/30/31 October. 
 
The draw for the first round of the Spanish Cup will take place on Thursday, 10th October at 1pm at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation, in Las Rozas. 
UD Almería will be included in one of the 7 pots that will be used to match the teams. The Rojiblancos will be together with the rest of the Segunda clubs. In the other pots, 16 Primera teams; 16 Primera RFEF teams, 35 from the Segunda RFEF, 8 from Tercera RFEF, 4 semifinalists of the Federation Cup and the 10 winners of the previous qualifying round that will be played on 9th October. The pairings will be between lower-ranked teams against higher-ranked teams, with a single match being played on the first team's pitch, as per usual. 
 
The next rounds will be held on 4th December, 5th January... Last season, UD Almería were knocked out in the second round in the Aragón-based town of Barbastro. The Rojiblancos previously defeated Talavera de la Reina.
