Rubi: 'We're going to try to create a more positive team dynamic'

The UD Almería head coach respects the fans booing the team and acknowledges: 'We had a tough time at the end of the game,' but also clarifies: 'Everything would've been different if we had scored the third goal because we created chances to do so.'

'We're going to try to create a more positive dynamic because it's the only way to achieve our goal,' stated UD Almería head coach Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' as he reflected on his team's W against Racing Club Ferrol. The gaffer acknowledged: 'We performed worse than in the previous home game against FC Cartagena. They conceded a goal in the end, we got nervous, and we had a tough time, even though it was only for a few minutes.'

The Catalan clarified: 'We actually didn't play a good first half and then in the second we improved. After making it 2-0, we had clear chances to score the third. If we had managed to do that, everything would've been different, and we would've avoided the boos from the fans, which we respect.'

Rubi is therefore looking to change the atmosphere around the team because, while it's true that what really matters now is getting three points, he also indicated: 'We can push ourselves a little more in some aspects.'

The double-header continues as UD Almería will now have another home game on Sunday. 'Getting the 6 points we're playing for this week because it'll show us that we're closer to winning everything,' the Vilassar de Mar concluded.
