Rubi: 'We're going to Anduva to win, although we also know we can't lose'

The UD Almería head coach stated in a press conference: 'Both CD Mirandés and UD Almería have a lot at stake' and acknowledged: 'A draw wouldn't be a bad result for us.' The gaffer expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the fans travelling to Miranda de Ebro

'We're heading into the match at the Anduva Stadium with the goal of winning, although we also know we can't lose,' said UD Almería head coach Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' as he looked ahead to the penultimate Matchday of LaLiga Hypermotion against CD Mirandés on Sunday. He also explained that given his team's current situation: 'A draw wouldn't be a bad result for us,' while in the event of a defeat, 'we would've to look at other rivals' results to see what our chances are going into the final Matchday.'

Despite this, UD Almería will not be speculating in Miranda de Ebro. Rubi emphasised: 'We'll go all out to compete at our best, trying to repeat what we've been doing in recent weeks.' The UD Almería head coach has always praised CD Mirandés and he did so again in the press conference with the media: 'They have aspects that I like, like their unity, what the group transmits, where the staff has certainly played a decisive role. We must continue congratulating them on the season they're having.'

CD Mirandés are the best home team in the league as they have only conceded 15 goals at home. 'It's very difficult to beat them; you have to put a lot of effort into doing it,' the Catalan pointed out, adding: 'We beat them in the first half of the season, but it was very difficult for us. We were skilled and knew how to play the game. This time it'll be different.'

The Vilassar de Mar native wanted to make it clear: 'Both teams have a lot at stake, not more than them,' and called for sportsmanship among the fans. Around 200 travelling fans will be at the Anduva Stadium. 'They're going to make a great effort to be with us and support us. I want to thank them,' Rubi concluded.
