A long week before facing 'big game' against direct rivals Elche CF

The Rojiblancos return this Monday from La Coruña and will train as soon as they land in Almería city. On 17th February, they host direct rivals Elche CF at the UD Almería Stadium. Lopy will sit out the next LaLiga Hypermotion fixture

UD Almería return this Monday from La Coruña after the 3-1 defeat to Deportivo de La Coruña at the Abanca Riazor Stadium. As soon as they land in Almería they will exercise at the training base. It will be around noon because the UD Almeria travelling squad fly charter at 10am and the flight takes around 90 minutes. In this way, a long week begins since the next LaLiga Hypermotion match will be played on Monday, 17 February at home against Elche CF, direct rivals in the tight race for promotion to the top flight, in what is expected to be a big game. 
 
As gaffer Rubi said in the pre-Dépor press conference, the moment of truth has come and the encounter against Elche CF, without a doubt, will be one of them.
 
The UD Almería squad will exercise on the Anexo training pitch at noon in a session that will be a recovery for those players who played the most minutes at the Abanca Riazor Stadium and more intense for the others. On Tuesday, the Rojiblancos will rest and on Wednesday they resume training to focus on Matchday 27. The squad will have 5 training sessions ahead of them before playing hosts to Elche CF.
 
The week will serve to check up on forward Marezi, who sat out the game in La Coruña due to some muscle discomfort, although everything indicates that he will be available, so the absences will be Baba, Gui Guedes and Rachad, who are recovering from the injuries that made them stop for surgery, as well as Lopy, who in received his 10th yellow card of the season against Dépor last Sunday.
