A brief breather before getting back to work
The UD Almería squad to resume training midweek ahead of Saturday’s clash in Burgos
Following the vital win over CD Mirandés, UD Almería will take a short breather this Tuesday, with the squad enjoying a well-earned day off before turning their focus to the next challenge. Preparations will begin on Wednesday for Saturday’s 4:15pm fixture against Burgos CF at El Plantío stadium, another ‘final’ in the race for promotion, especially against direct rivals also pushing for a place in the top tier.
In a shortened week like this, balancing tactical work with player recovery is crucial, something head coach Rubi had already highlighted in his pre-match press conference ahead of Monday’s game.
As planned, the Rojiblancos will return to training on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday behind closed doors. The first session will take place at the Anexo base followed by two sessions at the UD Almería Stadium.
On Friday afternoon, the squad will travel to Burgos via charter flight, ready to take on another decisive test in their promotion campaign.
