UD Almería's final training session ahead of Málaga CF derby

The Rojiblancos look to end 2025 on a high

UD Almería completed their final training session of 2025 on Saturday, preparing for their crucial away fixture against Málaga CF at La Rosaleda Stadium. The Rojiblancos trained behind closed doors at their facilities in a bid to finalise preparations for the match on Sunday, the last of the year and the third-to-last of the first half of the season.

After a disappointing home defeat to Burgos CF, which prevented them from closing the gap on league leaders Racing Santander, UD Almería will be eager to bounce back. Despite a solid away record, their task will be tough, as Málaga CF, who recently changed coaches, are in strong form with a four-match unbeaten streak.

UD Almería’s performance will be influenced by the results of Saturday’s fixtures, with Deportivo La Coruña facing Andorra, Racing Santander playing SD Huesca, and UD Las Palmas hosting Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa.

Racing Santander currently lead the pack with 36 points, while Dépor (32 points) and UD Almería (also on 32 points) are hot on their heels. UD Las Palmas and CD Castellón follow closely behind with 31 points, while Burgos CF occupy the final play-off spot with 28 points.
