UDA Academy display several outstanding performances over the weekend

Almeria U19 ‘A’ got their match called off due to the heavy rain falling in Seville. Almeria U19 'B' back to winning ways

Weekend with brilliant performances and results by the UDA Academy sides. The youth ranks closed out the weekend with all-important victories achieved by the Under19-s ‘B’, Under-16s ‘B’ or the youngest Under-12s. Almeria U16 ‘A’ and Under-14s ‘B’ had to settle for 1-1 draws. On another note, the only defeat was that of Almeria U16s ‘B’, who lost 2-0 to La Cañada.

To start with, the outfit competing in the Division de Honor league got their fixture called off in the 27th minute when taking on Real Betis due to the heavy rain falling on the Luis del Sol Sports Complex. Until that moment, the young hosts had gone ahead with an early opener and had no choice but to stop at that time. In the next few hours, the RFEF Competition Committee will decide when the game resumes.

Meanwhile, Almeria U19 ‘B’ beat UD Mortadelo 2-0 at the Los Angeles Sports Complex. After an evenly-matched first half in which both teams went to the dressing rooms with nothing separating them, the lads from Almería opened the scoring from 12 yards through Juanjo and would double their lead in the last minutes thanks to Montes .

Almeria U16 ‘A’ vs Seneca reached full-time 1-1 in Cordoba. Both goals were scored in the opening 45 minutes in a match that was highly competitive from start to finish. Regarding Under-16s ‘B’, the Rojiblancos fell to La Cañada 2-0. The teenage Indálicos put in a brave fight in the first period, but in the second half they were outmatched by the home team, who sealed the game with two great goals.

As for the Under-14s 'A' achieved a comprehensive 4-0 victory over San Roque. The boys from UD Almería sealed the game being real contenders in the first half, scoring 3 goals. The fourth and last goal at the hands of the Almerienses came from a penalty. On the contrary, Alhaurin de la Torre snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Almeria U14 ‘B’. 

Last but not least, the youngest UDA Academy side thrashed Atlético Jaén 3-9 away from home even though the first goal was scored by the adversaries.
