UDA Academy close out the weekend without defeats!

Almeria U12 and Almeria U16 ‘B’ claim victories while the rest of the sides bag a point in their matches

The UD Almería Academy teams closed out last weekend without any defeats in their league appointments; Almeria U12 and Almeria U16 ‘B’ achieved two victories while the rest of the Academy sides ended up sharing the spoils.

Starting with Almeria U19 ‘A’, Juan Carlos Cintas’s teenagers welcomed Vázquez Cultural at the Los Angeles Sports Complex. It was an evenly matched game with the boys from Almeria going ahead thanks to a goal from Soto. In the second half, the visitors levelled the scoring (1-1).

As for Almeria U19 ‘B’, they youngsters had to face a complicated away match against Málaga ‘B’. The encounter was dominated by Alberto Lasarte’s lads who were up 0-2 courtesy of goals scored by Valen and David. It was then when the home team found a way to equalise (2-2), a result that could have changed shortly after in favour of the visitors but they squandered a big chance in the final minutes.

Almeria U16 ‘A’ took on another Malaga-based youth squad, although in this case the meeting took place at the Los Angeles Sports Complex. The two squads gave it their all to end up sharing the spoils (2-2).

One of the victories achieved by the UDA Academy over the last weekend was for Almeria U16 ‘B’, who staged an impressive comeback over visitors Pavia. After conceding the first (0-1), the hopeful young Rojiblancos were gaining momentum until the scoreboard recorded the final 3-1.

With regard to Almeria Under-14s, there were two draws. Almería U14 ‘A’ deserved a triumph as they played a great role in their visit to Cádiz, however the Indalicos had to settle for a 3-3 draw against powerful opponents. On the other hand, Almeria U14 ‘B’ reached full-time sharing the points (1-1) after reigning superior throughout the playing time. Nonetheless, a goal scored by the Escuela de Fútbol Internacional (International Football School) in the final stretch cancelled out the Rojiblancos’ opener.

Almeria U12 were the other UDA Academy players who picked up all three points. The boys hosted Ciudad de Granada at the Los Angeles Sports Complex and wielded their authority from the off (4-1).
