UD Tamaraceite, rival of UD Almería in the Copa
The qualifying round will be played as a single game in the Gran Canaria team’s football pitch of the Tercera Division(Third Division), although they are trying to find an alternative stadium.
The UD Tamaraceite will be the first rival of the UD Almeria in the Copa del Rey, which this season premieres format and the qualifiers will play only a single game against the team of the lowest football category, until the semi-finals, which will already have a home and away match each.
The draw held at the Ciudad del Futbol in Las Rozas, Madrid, where UD Almería has been represented by the club's director of organisation, Mostafa Yilmaz, confirmed that the opponent of the rojiblancos is a group of the Canary Islands of Tercera Divison. UD Tamaraceite belongs to a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Las Palmas . They play their games on the Juan Guedes Municipal Pitch, made of artificial grass and with the capacity for about 2,000 spectators, although the island entity seeks an alternative place such as the Gran Canaria Stadium, where the UD Las Palmas and Maspalomas play their matches.
