UD Almería Women earn promotion to Segunda Division RFEF

The Club has received confirmation by the RFEF that the the women's side will move up to the newly created tier on sporting merit

There is nothing like a promotion! UD Almería have received confirmation from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) that the women's team will be promoted to the recently created Segunda Division RFEF on sporting merit given the positive results obtained over the course of the 2021/22 campaign.

UD Almeria Women are only two points away from winning promotion, but one of the outfits involved in the promotion of Group IV has not been registered due to several reasons so the competition management has considered that the Indalicas have the right to move up to a higher division within the women's league system in Spain.

After the great news, UD Almería Women head coach Álvaro García Búrdalo has spoken to the Club's official media: 'I highly value this decision as a reward for the excellent results achieved last season.' Meanwhile, he has also thanked the Federation, the players who formed part of last campaign's girls squad, the coaching staff and the Club employees.

UD Almería Women have reached a real milestone in their brief existence after including promotion to a newly created tier in its record, confirming the great run of results produced by the team in recent campaigns. The players have already resumed training, although they will now begin a new phase in their preparations in order to live a great experience next 2022/23 season in the Segunda Division RFEF. Hard work pays off.
