UD Almería will try to emulate themselves in LaLiga Hypermotion
The Rojiblancos produced some spectacular results in the second tier that were difficult to achieve in past seasons and now they feel extremely motivated to compete at a higher level this 2024/25 campaign
UD Almería are going to start the 15th season in the second division of Spanish football. The Rojiblancos have known this tier with different surnames such as Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante, LaLiga 1|2|3, LaLiga SmartBank. The 2021/22 title remains recent after a formidable record that now they will try to equal in LaLiga Hypermotion. The last trip through Segunda Saw them racking up 81 points and equalled the 24 victories that were listed as the maximum number of victories achieved in the same term by the Indálicos. In 6 of every 10 games (57%) the team led by head coach Rubi ended up dedicating the 3 points to their devoted fans. The team never played more than two games without scoring points.
There are not precedents for a Almería team that conceded so little -35 goals- and scored so much - 68 -. A total of 33 goals shattered the best difference between goals for and goals against that Unai Emery's side had (+24). No team achieves its sporting objectives without first achieving it at home. The Power Horse Stadium closed its doors with a key with only three defeats throughout the season. Looking back to the last two campaigns in the Segunda Division, in those 42 games played in their stadium, UD Almería lost 6 times.
There are more milestones of that unforgettable trip, such as the seven back-to-back victories that were wrapped up by the team between Matchday 11 and 17. This new record of 21 points added out of a possible 21 were rounded off with two consecutive draws subsequent matches and a new triumph, raising the number of days without losing to 10.
The Spanish Segunda is one of the most difficult peaks to reach and to achieve it, what was done in other seasons will be of no use except to take into account the extreme hardness of a path already walked. Additionally, the LaLiga Hypermotion 2024/25 season will once again have a high level. It will be the best in the history of the Spanish second-tier.
