UD Almería will try it again at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium

UD Almería are playing Real Oviedo this Saturday (KO 9pm Spain Time/ Matchday 24) at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium, a difficult stage to win. The Rojiblancos will try to get the first victory of 2022 in the second half of the championship yet again following two home defeats to FC Cartagena and SD Eibar, a share of the spoils with UD Las Palmas and on the negative side, two more games lost since the beginning of the year, the postponed match against CD Lugo and the Spanish Cup tie against Elche CF at the Mediterraneo.

Covid-19, injuries and the Africa Cup of Nations  have taken their toll on UD Almeria and their winless streak as the team gradually recovers players, although there are still significant absences. As of next week, practically everyone will be available for selection, but there will still be some absentees in Oviedo. Regardless of this fact, Rubi acknowledges that his side needs to improve some aspects such as starting games with greater concentration and being much stronger and effective defensively and in attack. This 2022, the Rojiblancos had 20 shots on goal and scored a couple of goals while their rivals had 9 shots on goal as well as 6 goals conceded.
