UD Almería will take on Granada CF in pre-season opener on 20 July
Motril will host the Rojiblancos' first off-season friendly. Before they will play against Qatari side Al-Sadd SC in Marbella on 28th July and against FC Cartagena on 4th August in the 'Carabela de Plata' Trophy
UD Almería will play a friendly match against Granada CF next Saturday, 20th July at the Escribano Castilla Stadium in the Granada-based town of Motril (KO 7:30pm Spanish Time). It will be the pre-season opener for the Rojiblancos between two of the teams relegated from the Primera Division that, in addition will be two clear contenders for promotion in the new 2024/25 campaign.
It will be a demanding friendly to begin the summer preparation period that comes at end of the team's second week of pre-season with head coach Rubi in the driving seat again after seven training sessions.
Three friendly games have been confirmed. On 20th July, they will face Granada CF in Motril; on Sunday, 28th July, they will take on Al-Sadd SC from Qatar, during the boot camp to be held at La Quinta. On 4th August, the UD Almería travelling squad will face FC Cartagena, another of the rivals in the La Liga Hypermotion in the prestigious Carabela de Plata Trophy that will be held in the city of Cartagena.
