UD Almeria vs CD Lugo- bring it on!

The Rojiblancos continue with their preparation setting their sights on winning Saturday’s game against the mid-table side

Almería are now looking forward to competing again to try to ensure victory after suffering two consecutive defeats. The Rojiblancos have stablished the clear objective of ‘playing to win the game’, so that Jose Gomes’ men continue with their preparation ahead of Saturday’s fixture against CD Lugo at the Juegos Mediterráneos stadium (kick-off 6,15 p.m. CET).

As it has been already reported, Gomes has the 24 first-team players available for selection, as well as youngster Ramazani. The desire to reverse the latest results and therefore, start off by outplaying Lugo is more than evident considering the attitude of the players who are training with great intensity.

After recovering and providing tailored training workloads yesterday, the head coach has begun to recreate game situations and certain tactical aspects seeking to improve his team’s form and fully recover the best version of themselves.

The next Northern adversaries have nothing to lose in Almería. The footballers from Lugo are in the middle of the table, seven points away from the relegation zone and eight behind the play-offs spots, what means that they are in a comfortable situation. It seems that the Albivermellos do not want to look overconfident but determined to continue making it difficult for their opponents as it has been happening since the change of head coach. Lugo have added ten points on their travels with two wins and four draws.

The Almería squad reconvene at their training base Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos this Thursday.
