UD Almería veterans play charity match in Abla

The game was organised in order to raise funds to help Alina, the mother of the two girls murdered by their father in Alboloduy in mid-March

UD Almería veterans continue to play charity matches both in Almería as in other cities, in addition to being called up to play friendlies or tournaments as will happen soon in Portugal.

This past Sunday, helping Alina, the 23-year-old mother of the two girls murdered in mid-March by their father in a farmhouse in Alboloduy town, was a nice gesture. The Río Nacimiento region has launched different initiatives to support her and the UD Almería veterans have participated in one of them. In addition to raffling off a T-shirt to raise money, they played a friendly match in Abla against a selection of players from the zone.

UD Almería veterans claimed a 2-5 victory with goals courtesy of Butra, Isidro, Jose Callejón and Luis, who scored a brace. At the end of May, UD Almería Veterans will participate in Roquetas de Mar in a tribute to late former player and conditioning coach Eduardo Mena.
