UD Almeria U19 'A' will train and play at Huercal de Almeria-based 'Francisco Pomedio' ground

The Club signs two deals with the City Council of this town and its local side AD Huércal on the shared use of the pitch.

UD Almería Academy has signed an agreement with the Huércal de Almería City Council to give UD Almeria U19s 'A' access to the Francisco Pomedio ground. As a result, the UDA youth team will be able to carry out training sessions and play home matches throughout the 2022/23 season. This authorisation to use the facility has been preceded by a deal with the local side Agrupación Deportiva Huércal, with whom the Rojiblancos' Club are on good terms, hence this ground sharing arrangement.

Under this agreement, UD Almería's request has been accommodated. The UDA Academy youth squad that competes in the highest Under-19s tier in Spain called División de Honor Juvenil, will be able to perform their training sessions in the mornings from now on. In this way, the daily routine of the youngsters is now similar to that of professional football and UD Almeria 'B'.

It is worth highlighting that the Club has put in place the necessary mechanisms so that young players who are still in students have the possibility of pursuing their respective careers and completing Bachillerato (A Levels in the U.K) while they continue to follow the well-trodden pathway to professional football.
