UD Almería to play 'Carabela de Plata' Trophy in Cartagena on 4 August

It is the first game of the pre-season that has been confirmed. The Rojiblancos plan to play 6 or 7 friendlies during this off-season period ahead of LaLiga Hypermotion

UD Almería will compete on Sunday, 4 August for the prestigious 'Carabela de Plata' Trophy organised by FC Cartagena and the city council of the city of Cartagena. The Rojiblancos will face the hosts at the Cartagonova Stadium, which will also be Indálicos' rivals in LaLiga Hypermotion. 

It is the 52nd time that this tournament takes place in which UD Almeria have previously participated twice, winning one of them in 2011. The match will be the first of the 2024/25 pre-season that UD Almería have confirmed, although both before and after, Rubi's side will play others. In fact, the idea is that the team plays 6 or 7 friendly games. 

The renewed UD Almería squad begin training next week on the Anexo Power Horse Stadium after the players undergo the medicals on Monday and Tuesday. Later, they will take pre-season to Marbella for 10 days and then, continue gearing up for the next campaign again in Almeria city.

The pre-season will last about 40 days, in which the Rojiblancos will play 6 or 7 friendlies as stated before.
