UD Almería to pay tribute to National Police

The Club joins the LaLiga initiative on the occasion of the 200 anniversary of the Spanish CNP and two police officers will take the honorary kick-off in this Sunday's match against Girona FC at the Power Horse Stadium

The National Police celebrates its 200 anniversary this Sunday and LaLiga and the Spanish Clubs will pay a tribute on this Matchday under the motto 'Siempre en tu equipo. Siempre contigo' ('Always on your team. Always with you') to thank them for their National Police's services in football matches and sport events in general across Spain.

UD Almería have joined this initiative and therefore, two Spanish CNP police officers will take the honorary kick-off, the chief inspector responsible for Citizen Security and a member of the Prevention and Reaction Unit in Almería city.

Furthermore, a message from LaLiga and the National Police 'Always on your team. Always with you,' will be shown on the Stadium's digital scoreboards which will also be visible on the Spanish pitch-side LED advertising boards.

The relationship between the National Police and LaLiga dates back to 2015, with the creation of the Security, Integrity and Emergencies Management. Throughout these years, they have teamed up in the fight against piracy, collaborating to dismantle organisations that operate through national and international level offering sports content illicitly.
