UD Almería switch attention to Saturday's clash in Mallorca

Melero trains with the group, although without doing the most demanding work. This Thursday and Friday, sessions take place at 1pm behind closed doors.

UD Almería have resumed training, after having Tuesday off, to start preparing towards Matchday 6. RCD Mallorca will be hosting the Rojiblancos from 2pm on the island (CEST).

The football practice held at the Power Horse Stadium this Tuesday evening has seen Gonzalo Melero training with the squad, although without doing the most demanding part since he has just shaken off an injury he suffered with Levante UD before signing for UD Almería. The Madrid-born midfielder has participated in the physical exercises, technical drills and in the futvoley matches that the starters against CA Osasuna played in the final stretch of training.

Meanwhile, those players, who did not get minutes in their legs last Monday or came off the bench, exercised for a longer time playing small-sided games. Alex Centelles also worked on the pitch on the sidelines, while César de la Hoz, with a sprained ankle, as well as Léo Baptistão, with some discomfort, worked out at the gym together with the physiotherapists.

There are two more training sessions ahead, this Thursday and Friday before the trip to Palma de Mallorca, which will take place behind closed doors at the Power Horse Stadium from 1 o'clock to adapt more to the upcoming game kick-off time (2pm Spain Time) to be played at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. The progress of footballers who are not joining with the group at the moment will be assessed in these two training sessions.
