UD Almería step up preparations ahead of CD Mirandés’ visit

The Rojiblancos are training with full focus on improving their finishing and recreating fluid match situations

UD Almería are stepping up preparations ahead of Sunday’s game at the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium (KO 9pm CET/ Matchday 28). The players have exercised at the Anexo training base in a morning training session that focused on recreating fluid match situations with tactical skills, in addition to insisting on improving the players ability in front of the goal with finishing drills.

Head coach Rubi has all his players available, except for Juanjo Nieto, who will have to say goodbye to this season following a serious left knee injury to his anterior cruciate ligament. In relation to the previous Match week, the head coach can once again count on Ramazani, who has served a one-game ban, as well as José Carlos Lazo, who has been fighting tooth and nail to work his way back into the fold. The left-winger has spent a month and a half on the treatment table due to a muscle injury.

UD Almería are grafting away to boost their performance aiming to beat CD Mirandés on home soil and thus, achieve their third back-to-back victory.

Starting this Thursday, the remaining three training sessions will be held behind closed doors. It will be time to work more tactically ahead of Sunday's league appointment against rivals who will visit the Mediterraneo with a new head coach at the helm of the squad.
