UD Almería shaping up for match against FC Barcelona

UD Almería are now shaping up for Wednesday's match against FC Barcelona at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium (kick-off 7pm Spanish Time/ Matchday 18). It will be the last fixture of 2023 and the penultimate of the first half of the LaLiga EA Sports.
The coaching staff led by Gaizka Garitano have adjusted the workload because preparation is of the utmost important for this game as the players with the most minutes clocked up need to be recovered, especially after having played this past Sunday. For this reason, up to eight UD Almería 'B' youngsters have participated in this Monday's session with the likes of Marcos Peña, Keven, Hugo Neves, Valen, Luis Lara, Peñalver, Abel and Rachad, although the latter has been a regular in senior team training for several weeks, as well as Marciano since the pre-season.
The starters against RCD Mallorca have done more active recovery work-outs, while the rest of the squad members, along with the 'B' team players, have exercised with greater intensity at the Power Horse Stadium.
This Tuesday evening and with all the available UD Almería footballers, a training session will be delivered focused on specific preparation for the mid-week match on Barcelona. Tactics and game strategy was the main focus to try to spring the big surprise in at the Olimpic Lluis Companys Stadium.
