The Rojiblancos have completed the first session of the week with the starters against Atlético de Madrid recovering and the rest of the squad members training with more intensity. Rodrigo Ely dropped by the Stadium
UD Almería have started a week that will end on Sunday with the match against RCD Mallorca at the Power Horse Stadium. The players who started at the Cívitas Metropolitano have had an active recovery session both in the gym and on the Anexo ground, while the rest of the squad members have taken part in a session based on strength exercises, finishing drills and a match played on a reduced-size pitch. This Monday, UD Almería 'B' striker Rachad has been the only youngster to join the senior team.
On the other hand, those players with long-term injuries, with the exception of Koné, have taken to the pitch to do recovery work-outs, with the likes of Marezi, Marc Pubill and Luis Suárez.
Pubill exercised on the sidelines and his return is getting closer. Luis Suárez worked with the conditioning trainer and is shortening his recovery times. As for Gonzalo Melero, he has worked out in the gym working his way back to full fitness.
The UD Almería players also received a very special visit in the morning. Former UD Almería centre-back Rodrigo Ely dropped by the Stadium to say hi and support his former team-mates. The league in Brazil has concluded and the Brazilian footballer is taking advantage of a well-deserved holiday in Spain and has not hesitated to visit the Power Horse Stadium.
The squad will have a day off this Tuesday before getting back to business on Wednesday.
