UD Almería remain top of LaLiga SmartBank!

The Rojiblancos are training this Tuesday to start preparing for the next complicated match in North Spain versus SD Eibar

UD Almería resume training on Tuesday after having Monday off thinking about the trip that will be made to visit SD Eibar at the Ipurúa Stadium on Friday, where the Rojiblancos will take to the pitch as LaLiga SmartBank table leaders.

After last Matchday’s results, the UD Almeria team remain top of the league one point ahead of Sporting de Gijon, two over SD Ponferradina and CD Tenerife, and four more than SD Eibar.

Training sessions will be taking place at the Anexo training base since the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium will not be available until the match against Real Sociedad ‘B’ (Thursday, October 21) as the winter grass is being re-sown. Footy practices will be taking place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before heading up north to take on SD Eibar on Friday.

UD Almería have three training sessions to prepare themselves for the difficult encounter versus SD Eibar, a team that have not lost again since the first two games of the championship. They have been undefeated for seven matches. They have great potential and some players with recent past at UD Almeria, such as Corpas, Yanis Rahmani and Aketxe, as well as Quique González. The Azulgranas, one of the favourite sides to get promotion, are the second highest scorers in the second tier (15) behind UD Almería (18), although at the same time they are also one of the teams that concede the most goals (13).

Head coach Rubi will have three players to miss this game because in addition to Aitor Buñuel, Robertone and Ramazani will not be up for grabs due to the injuries picked up against UD Las Palmas last Saturday.
