UD Almería recover troops before league action is back
César de la Hoz, Léo Baptistão and Dyego Sousa have rejoined full training. Samú Costa is back into the fold after international duty with Portugal U21 squad
UD Almería recover troops before the resumption of the LaLiga Santander on Matchday 7 following the international break last weekend. It is going to be a short week since Rubi's side are visiting the San Mamés Stadium this Friday for a 9pm kick-off against hosts Athletic Club de Bilbao, who are in Champions League positions in the table at the minute after their scintillating start to the season.
After having Saturday and Sunday off duty, the squad are back in the building, training on the Anexo ground with the presence of Cantabria native midfielder César de la Hoz, who suffered a severe ankle sprain in Valladolid; Léo Baptistão, who experienced muscular discomfort and missed out against CA Osasuna and RCD Mallorca; and Dyego Sousa, who was also doing individual work-outs last week.
In addition, Pozo has started training on the grass on the sidelines. The player hasn't been ruled out for the trip to Bilbao though. Alex Centelles continues with the rehab recovery from his ankle injury. Apart from them, Samú Costa is now back into the fold after playing, winning and also scoring against Georgia with the Portugal U21 squad. This Tuesday, the Portuguese was meant to play a second game that has been called off and this circumstance has allowed his return to Almería.
Now, head coach Rubi awaits the arrival of Ramazani, who has joined up with the Belgium U21 team; Babić and El Bilal Touré who received duty calls from the senior teams of Serbia and Mali, respectively.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the team will be training behind closed doors while on Friday, the day from the encounter at the San Mamés, the UD Almería travelling squad will be flying out to Bilbao on a charter flight.
