UD Almeria put on captivating Stadium’s opening ceremony

The attendees danced the night away to wonderful musical performances. David Bisbal sings cover version of the Club's anthem

The opening ceremony for the first phase of the Power Horse Stadium presented by Argentinian presenter and model Romina Bellucsio was a total success. The attendees, who packed the sporting venue, greatly enjoyed the four–hour show with brilliant performances by Maikel delacalle, Emilia, RVFV, Tamer Hosny and David Bisbal, ending with a spectacular fireworks display.

The Power Horse Stadium gates opened from 7:30pm so that all season-ticket holders could occupy their seats and get ready to relish the big event. The special guests invited to the opening ceremony began to parade down the red carpet, including Guti and Ronaldinho.

The first one to perform was rapper Mikel Delacalle, who was on stage for almost an hour. Next, a video of UD Almería’s promotion to the top flight and how the Club has changed since the arrival of Turki Alalshikh was screened.

The most emotional performance arrived… David Bisbal took to the stage to tumultuous applause and standing ovation. The artist sang a version of the UD Almería’s anthem accompanied by its composer and guitarist Guillermo Fernández. It was a magical moment that the Rojiblancos and David Bisbal will never forget.

Authorities, managers and sponsors then went on stage and were interviewed by Romina Bellucsio. Power Horse CEO Salvatore Caizzone spoke first: ‘We’ve got high ambition like UD Almería. UD Almería never give up, long live UD Almería and long live Power Horse.’ After him, Antonio Cervantes from AJ Construcciones took his turn as he responded to Romina's questions: ‘We’ve got a great stadium where we’re going to experience sheer joy,’ he said. Immediately afterwards, new Mayor of Almeria city María del Mar Vázquez stated: ‘A first-class city deserves a first-class stadium.’ Diputación de Almería President Javier Aureliano García also stressed: ‘Almería will be present every week across the five continents. It would be Club’s Managing Director Mohamed El Assy who gave the last speech with words that excited the crowd: ‘Our dream is to play in the Europa League.’

Next, it was time for the performance of Argentian Emilia Hermes, who spent an hour making everyone in the stands put on their dancing shoes before the whole stadium was dazzled by the Egyptian star Tamer Hosny, who has millions of followers on his social networks. The atmosphere was just electric.

Almeria-born RVFV brought the night to a crescendo and was the person in charge of wrapping up the show. The fans erupted and went wild with his catchy Latin trap songs. The Power Horse Stadium’s opening ceremony was rounded off with a spectacular fireworks display. Let the games begin…
