UD Almería prepare game against FC Cartagena
The Rojiblancos trained with the absence of Juan Villar. This Monday afternoon practice will be held behind closed doors before the trip
The UD Almería squad are now focused on their next match against FC Cartagena, opponents who are going all out to guarantee survival this season. In addition, there will be fans at the Cartagonova Stadium. A total of 2,240 supporters will cheer on their team, something that after more than a year will surely feel ‘strange’ for both teams.
FC Cartagena will host UD Almeria on the back of two consecutive victories against Castellón and Espanyol, this one at home. So, Tuesday's league appointment is like a final for them in order to make sure they stay up in the second tier. It will be a demanding game for the Indalicos, although they will try to show why they are the second team with the best away form in LaLiga SmartBank. At the same time, Rubi’s players are eager to pick up all three points after sharing the spoils with Albacete at home.
The footballers have to prepare themselves for two games this week. Meanwhile, the players’ post-match recovery plays a vital role; those players who got the most minutes in the last match have done precisely that, while the rest of their team-mates exercised with more intensity at the Anexo training ground.
Juan Villar, who was out of action against Albacete, will not make it on time for the appointment due to his muscular discomfort. The right-winger sustained an injury in Tenerife, but during the first days of the week he was training as usual until he experienced the discomfort. Suspended Akieme will also miss out at the Cartagonova stadium.
The UD Almeria squad will take part in an afternoon training session, behind closed doors, at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium on Monday, and they will later travel by road to Cartagena city.
