UD Almería play against the 'B' team in training

The Rojiblancos took on the UD Almería 'B' prospects in a training match to step up preparations for Sunday's match against Villarreal CF at Power Horse Stadium

UD Almería played a training match this Thursday against the 'B' team prospects at the same venue in which the Rojiblancos will face Villarreal CF on Sunday, the Power Horse Stadium.

It was the halfway point of the week of training and head coach Pepe Mel wanted to see his players compete to recreate different match situations and practise tactical drills. The game was interrupted every time the UD Almería gaffer corrected aspects of the game or wanted to give specific instructions to his players or those of the 'B' team. In addition, there was an exchange of footballers in the teams because forwards Marezi and Koné were lined up with UD Almería 'B', while the three goalkeepers of the first team alternated under the sticks.

UD Almería 'B' youngsters Bruno Iribarne and Obón did tailored drills aside. It has been the third session of the week for the UD Almería squad, who still has two more ahead, this Friday, on the Anexo pitch, and Saturday in the Power Horse Stadium before the team gets together.

Radovanović and Luis Suárez, due to injury, as well as Gonzalo Melero, due to suspension are still ruled out. Marezi, who was not called up last week, trains with his right wrist immobilised due to a fracture of the scaphoid bone.
