UD Almería need 11 points to avoid relegation

There is no league fixtures this weekend with the next up for the Rojiblancos being second-placed Girona FC on Sunday, 14th January at the Power Horse Stadium. Real Madrid CF will be the next on the agenda

The Rojiblancos have reached the halfway point of the LaLiga EA Sports in a tense situation since they need 11 points from securing league safety at the moment. Celta de Vigo are just above the drop zone following their victory over Real Betis last Wednesday, so the fight for survival is getting complicated for the Rojiblancos.

UD Almería have only obtained five points so far this season. Granada CF, who also won on this Matchday, have registered 11 points while third bottom Cádiz CF have 15 points in the table. They are the three Andalusian teams in relegation positions.

Another blank Match weekend for UD Almería comes since the Spanish Cup third round, in which the Rojiblancos will not be involved as they were knocked out by UD Barbastro, will be taking place.

UD Almeria will not be kitted out again until next Sunday, 14th January with the visit of runners-up in-form Girona FC, who are level on points with the Merengues (KO 2 pm Spanish Time). This fixture against the Catalans will be the beginning of the second half of LaLiga EA Sports. The Madridistas will actually be the Rojiblancos' next opponents on Matchday 21, in which UD Almería will play at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Sunday, 21st January (KO 4:15pm local time).

The start of the second half of the league will be tough indeed considering the top-of-the-table clubs to face, runners-up Girona FC and table-toppers Real Madrid CF. Then, Deportivo Alavés, Valencia CF, Athletic Club de Bilbao, Granada CF will be the next on the agenda.
