UD Almería joins efforts with Naif Alrajhi Investment

The Saudi company becomes the club's official strategic sponsor

UD Almeria and the investment company Naif Alrajhi Investment announce their sponsorship agreement for the 2020/21 season. The Saudi Arabian company becomes the club’s new official strategic sponsor. Naif Alrajhi Investment’s logo will feature in training shirts, digital UTV and other digital assets of UD Almería.

It is expected that the relationship between UD Almeria and the company from Saudi Arabia, the country of origin of the club’s owner Turki Al-Alshikh, will boost a growing number of followers and fans in the Kingdom while continuing to achieve success within LaLiga SmartBank, the second-tier in Spanish football.

The club matches are followed by tens of millions of people around the world and are expected to achieve widespread attention via a newly launched marketing strategy targeting fans across the globe. Commenting on the sponsorship, Naif Saleh Alrajhi – Chairman and CEO of the company–  states, ‘As a company that invests in capabilities that shape the future, we’ve been closely watching the progress and developments of the club and believe that the UD Almería’s team enjoys unique skills and techniques that will allow it to lead in the next two to three years. We come from a country that cheers and appreciates football. We also come from a business with a vision that empowers opportunities, hence this sponsorship.’ 

Moreover, he added, ‘UD Almería have a big responsibility now, as the Saudi fan base has high and growing expectations. I’m confident with what I see so far: that the club will be achieving a local and global fan base, and will challenge top leading and renowned football clubs.’

It is worth mentioning that Naif Alrajhi Investment is a Saudi investment group headquartered in Riyadh with a presence in Dubai and London, and which invests in real estate, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. The group is known for its diversified portfolio of business that is successful in attracting the most promising businesses, empowering unique capabilities, and securing flourishing partnerships. 

The sponsorship agreement with the Saudi company comes after the recent marketing strategy launched that has been executed worldwide and in different languages ​​to engage with its growing fan base wherever they are, thanks to this project the club already has followers in more than 150 countries around the world.
