UD Almeria gets back good feelings and sits at the second place in the league
The rojiblancos continue stepping up their games into leadership positions. On Wednesday they will start training ahead of the match against CD Tenerife. Almost all players are available.
The team has regained the good sensations surrounding its gameplay after the last performance against Numancia de Soria, which was undefeated five consecutive matchdays and had only lost a game as a visitor. Also, Numancia was leading the pack on the second place of the classification, what meant that it was on a direct promotion place to First Division. At this stage of the season, this place on the table is not decisive yet.
After three consecutive draws, UD Almeria won brilliantly because its players knew how to play football during the first half of the match against the Sorianos. Similarly, the team knew how to suffer in the second half with two goals under their belt.
The day after this important victory has helped the team to carry out a recovery training for the starters who played against Numancia, and an intense training for the rest of the squad. Jonathan Silva is already recovered from his muscle injury and although lately he has been absent, he will join the team in the next days. The only players who will be out of action are Juan Ibiza, who is injured, and Petrovic, who was sent off yesterday. Lazo is feeling well while Vada is waiting for a complete recovery. Some of the starters had a physiotherapy treatment instead of going to train on the pitch. All in all, most players are available to play.
Tuesday will be a rest day for the squad, which on Wednesday will resume work to focus already on the preparation of the next encounter against CD Tenerife on Saturday, at 6:00 pm at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium, corresponding to the 18 th match week of the SmartBank League.
