UD Almería Genuine complete first phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander

The UDA Foundation team enjoyed the exciting tournament in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The Genuine team players from the UD Almeria Foundation’s team experienced last weekend the excitement of wearing the red and white football kit in the first phase of the 2021/22 LaLiga Genuine Santander season, which took place at the UD Las Palmas Sports Complex.

After several postponements over Covid-19 cases, it was finally possible to celebrate this tournament organised by the LaLiga Foundation in which the groups of professional Spanish football clubs that have a squad made up of players with intellectual disabilities meet. The Almerienses were paired with Cádiz CF, CD Tenerife and Rayo Vallecano.

The excited Indálicos enjoyed playing on the pitch once again highlighting the importance of football values since the game inspires character, leadership, resilience and teamwork. The first part of the first phase of the competition has now ended and now it is the turn of the other 18 sides who will play in the second part. Therefore, it will not be until May when UD Almería Genuine will have to travel again for the next phase, which will be divided between Málaga and Cádiz.
