UD Almería face grueling week of league and Cup action

The Rojiblancos prepare for 3 Matches in 6 days, starting with CD Castellón and concluding with SD Éibar. The Spanish Cup first-round tie will see them taking on CF Lorca Deportiva

UD Almería are entering a crucial week filled with both LaLiga Hypermotion and Copa del Rey fixtures, as the Rojiblancos face the challenge of playing 3 matches in just 6 days. The busy schedule begins with a trip to take on CD Castellón, followed by a Spanish Cup opener against CF Lorca Deportiva and wraps up with a home encounter against SD Éibar in league action.

Rubi's side is gearing up for a demanding stretch of fixtures, with no rest in between. After their match against CD Castellón, the team will head straight into Copa del Rey action on Wednesday, facing CF Lorca Deportiva in the first round at 8pm (Spanish Time). The team have been training behind closed doors on Monday and Tuesday to fine-tune their preparations for the knockout tournament.

The geographical proximity of Lorca, combined with a large travelling contingent of UD Almería supporters, should offer some relief in terms of recovery. After the Cup tie, two additional training sessions will be held on Thursday and Friday to gear up for their LaLiga Hypermotion clash with SD Éibar. This match, scheduled for 9pm (Spanish Time) on Saturday, will close out a hectic and demanding week for the Rojiblancos.

With no time to rest, Rubi’s squad will need to dig deep and manage their energy levels as they juggle the demands of both domestic and Cup competitions.
