UD Almería exert themselves in training to battle Burgos CF

The hosts from Castile and Leon have conceded just 9 goals and have only lost 3 games on home turf. Eguaras enters the fray after a one-game ban

After taking their ease last Monday, the UD Almería players got back into training at the Anexo training ground in the pouring rain. Players have a short week ahead of them and will try their best to make the most of it until Saturday’s fixture in North Spain.

Iñigo Eguaras is back into the fray after he served a one-game ban over accumulations of yellow cards during the match against Sporting. Chumi has been exercising with his team-mates as the central defender is in the final stretch of his way back to full recovery. The only players who are on the sidelines are Nieto and Ivan Martos.

The Rojiblancos have few training sessions scheduled until they take on Burgos FC; the next adversaries were virtually assured of survival following their last game and have obtained such positive results at El Plantío Stadium that are not to take for granted: they have only lost three games at home and they are the side that has conceded the fewest goals on home soil so far, with only nine goals in the eighteen games played. Rubi and his players are much aware of the difficulty that the match will entail and the importance, once again, of the points at stake.

The next two football practices will be delivered behind closed doors and the UD Almeria travelling squad will be heading up north on the same Saturday by charter flight to play at 8,30pm (CEST). It will be the first of the last five battles of the championship (Matchday 38).

LaLiga has already communicated through a newsletter that the last two games have simultaneous kick-offs for those teams fighting for the same goal this season.
