UD Almería Club statement

UD Almería informs that it has been decided to self-isolate an asymptomatic member after the squad underwent COVID-19 tests. The asymptomatic player, tested positive in the test carried out on Tuesday and in this situation the tests have been repeated on all the members of the squad, coaching staff and club personnel directly linked to them. 

The diagnosis was negative and it has been decided to carry out a third test, awaiting the results. Almería got together at the hotel from last Sunday and the players are staying in individual rooms and do not use common areas inside the hotel. 

Regarding training, the footballers are not using changing rooms or other areas at Juegos Mediterraneos, the entity has the will and firm intention to travel to Gerona so as to play the play-offs for promotion, as it has happened recently in other competitions, including international ones. UD Almería communicated these mishaps and how they let the health authorities know, in addition to LaLiga, CSD (National Sports Council), RFEF (Spanish Football Federation), and the Patronato (Municipal Sports Board).
