UD Almeria Club statement

UD Almería communicates that after the Covid-19 medical tests carried out yesterday on an individual basis to the squad, coaching staff, employees and leaders of the club, one team member has tested positive for coronavirus. 

In accordance with the protocol established by LaLiga and the CSD (National Sports Council) in terms of health and safety, this person has been isolated as soon as the result was learned, who does not present any symptoms and is in good health. 

At the same time, UD Almería have suspended training, all the members of the team are at their homes and all the premises of the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium have begun to be disinfected. In addition, following LaLiga protocol, a new PCR test will be carried out on all staff members today, exactly 24 hours after the previous one. 

The club has informed the health authorities about this situation. All club-related activity has been ceased activity following the protocol recommendations. Similarly, the City Council has been informed, through the Municipal Sports Board and the councillor responsible for sports. 

UD Almería will promptly report any news that the club may have in this regard.
