UD Almería bring smiles to children’s faces during Torrecárdenas Hospital visit

The club and the Foundation handed over gifts and some UD Almeria football shirts made into gowns

The UD Almería paid a traditional Christmas visit to the Torrecárdenas Hospital in which some first team and women’s team players handed over gifts among the boys and girls admitted to the hospital. Fernando, Jonathan Silva, Juan Ibiza, César de la Hoz, Vada, Lazo, Petrovic, Juan Muñoz, Iván Martos and Darwin Núñez were those players who participated in the activity. Of course, Rozam, the official mascot, did not want to miss the appointment.

During the event, the Almeria team surprised children in the Paediatric intensive care and oncology units and at the maternity hospital. UD Almeria football merchandise items such as shirts, scarves and bracelets were delivered. Also, they posed for photos with children and their parents bringing smiles to their faces and spreading some Christmas cheer.

The highlight of the visit was the moment in which the UD Almería delivered to the hospital some official shirts turned into gowns. The purpose of this initiative called ‘The Strongest Gown’ is to wish these children a speedy recovery.

As noted, the festive season is upon us and the UD Almeria players were really happy to make a tiny bit of difference by keeping children and their families company. For this reason, the children have received different gifts from club, the players signed autographs and posed for selfies on the children’s wards.
