UD Almería back into training after Christmas break with Marc Pubill and Marezi in trim

The Rojiblancos ease themselves back into a workout routine after the festivities with the absences of Melero, Mendes, Baba and Marciano. Robertone exercises on the sidelines. 'B' team youngsters Marcos Peñas and Rachad join the first team in training

The UD Almería players ease themselves back into a workout routine after the Christmas festivities with Marc Pubill and Marezi in trim, who once recovered from their respective injuries are available again for selection. Head coach Gaizka Garitano cannot count on three of the internationals who will soon compete in the African Cup of Nations; Mendes and Marciano, called up to the Guinea-Bissau squad, and Baba joining up with Ghana. Lopy, however, remains in Almeria.

Robertone and Melero, who were injured against Real Betis on the penultimate Matchday of the year, are still working their way back into full fitness. The sidelined Argentinian midfielder has already done ball work, while Melero has been working out in the gym and being treated by the Club's physiotherapists.

On the other hand, UD Almería 'B' midfielder Marcos Peña and striker Rachad have trained with the first team members.

The Indálicos will step up preparations at the Power Horse Stadium as the Anexo pitch grass has been reseeded.
