UD Almería back into automatic promotion!

The Rojiblancos sit second one point behind leaders SD Eibar and 3 points ahead of CD Tenerife and Real Valladolid CF

UD Almería are back into the automatic promotion places! After last weekend’s results, the Rojiblancos have closed the gap on current leaders SD Eibar to one point and have opened the gap with third-placed CD Tenerife to three points. The islanders are level on points with Real Valladolid CF.

The last two victories on the bounce after the complicated month of January due to Covid-19, injuries and the Africa Cup of Nations, have not only placed the Indalicos back on the right track on their way to earn promotion to the top flight (although there is still a long way to go) but have served to restore the good vibes. With nearly all the squad members available, UD Almería are back to old selves as they are keeping their most direct rivals at bay in the table.

UD Almería are now back to winning ways following wins on home ground against UD Ibiza and against Malaga CF away from home, keeping a clean sheet in both fixtures, something really significant, in addition to once again showing their good footballing skills.

Two more home games are around the corner before February ends; CD Mirandes are the next up as they will be visiting the Mediterraneo this Sunday, 20 February for a 9pm kick-off (Spain Time). Before the game in Almeria, Real Valladolid CF will have already taken on FC Cartagena on Friday; SD Eibar will have played away to Girona FC as well as CD Tenerife will have hosted UD Ibiza on Saturday; and SD Ponferradina will have locked horns away from home with Real Sporting de Gijón, on Sunday.
